Apples biggest strength is not that they are better at making computers, they are (more than anything) incredibly good at making their customers feel special. And of course, nothing boosts that feeling more than isolation. Ask any cult ;)

Believe it or not, they cant do that, Hacker have got there stuff shut down along with a few other people. But you can only use itune with with apple stuff and you can only get what you want from your computer can't share it around.. like you can with a lot of stuff.

I'm pretty sure he's only talking about the ipod touch, the iphone, and the ipad. The macbooks are still resonably open.

This isn't lies but it relates entirely to the iPad which has no USB ports, no card readers, can only run software from the apple store, has no keyboard and cannot share music and apps. Everything he says is true of the iPad.

Almost all lies. I have a Mac and I have tons of free software. WHat was not free was very cheap compared to the Windows equivalents.

I can share all the music and books I chose, even something from iTunes, which I rarely use anyway.

I was a loyal Apple/Mac customer until I realised they were doing this. Did Bill Gates buy the company? This sucks big time. If I buy something I expect it to be my property to do with as I like. Apple is a world class FOR-PROFIT business. They didn't get that way by having only one revenue model; they need to restrict certain things so they can profit from them. If you don't like it start your own multi-billion dollar corp...
